Client: National Geographic Spain

My first publication in National Geographic is for an article on Tirol for National Geographic Spain Travel magazine.

Titled, “Tirol – the heart of the Austrian Alps” my image, taken next to the Schindlergratbahn in St. Anton am Arlberg has been featured across a double page and opens the article. The article is written for the National Geographic Spanish Travel magazine.

It’s great to have a publication in Nat Geo but especially to also be featured in there myself.  Just a short hike gave me access to this idyllic area where I was able to set up a series of self-timed images. At a certain time of year this kind of cloud inversion above St. Anton is actually fairly common. Getting positioned above Schindler or even the Vallugabahn almost guarantees good images. However, as a result expect it to get tracked and photographed quickly!

Tirol is full of amazing scenery, skiing and very talented photographers. It therefore feels great to have my image selected for such a reputable magazine.
